Muscatine Holiday Stroll
Friday, December 6th | 5pm-9pm
Plan to join us for the 35th annual Holiday Stroll in downtown Muscatine! This festival unites the community and visitors with the spirit of the holiday season.
Dozens of downtown stores and various Muscatine organizations participate in the stroll, decorating their storefronts, offering refreshments such as hot chocolate or becoming performance venues for singers, dancers, musicians and others spreading holiday cheer.
Festivities kick off with the lighting of the Community Christmas Tree. Second Street will be closed for traffic, allowing the crowds to walk freely from merchant to merchant, as well as to and from all the live music and other performances.
The Muscatine Parks and Recreation puts on its annual Candy Cane Hunt during the Holiday Stroll as well. Families gather at the riverfront for kids to gather candy canes in the dark, which they can then turn in for prizes.
Stop into The Merrill to enjoy hot chocolate, cookies, and candy canes!
Cups of soup will be for sale for $2 each.
Guitarist Matt Hepker will be playing in our lobby 5pm-9pm.
Make it A Holiday Getaway!
The Muscatine Holiday Stroll is the perfect time to sneak in a quick holiday getaway before schedules fill up. Join us in celebrating the start of the holiday season and plan to stay through Brunch with Santa at the Merrill on Sunday. We look forward to welcoming you to Muscatine this holiday season!
