Join The Merrill Hotel and Muscatine community as we celebrate Independence Day 2023!
The full day of programming kicks off with a Kid's Parade to the Musser Public Library in the morning, a Community Parade in the afternoon followed by Almost Fireworks Fest in Riverside Park, located directly across the street from The Merrill Hotel. Almost Fireworks Fest features activities for the whole family including bounce houses, face-painting, live music from local bands, and food trucks in the park.
Starting at 7:00 pm, the hotel's ticketed 21+ VIP party and celebrations continue in the beautiful Mississippi Ballroom. Enjoy an amazing display of heavy hors d’oeuvres and sweet treat creations by Chef Tessa and her culinary team, two drink tickets per person plus a cash bar, and enjoy live music in a beautiful setting from Quad Cities singer-songwriter Lewis Knudsen. Lewis puts his own unique spin on a wide variety of acoustic covers, including a spot-on James Taylor, performing as the sun sets and all evening leading up to the grand fireworks display at dusk. Whether viewed in air conditioned comfort through the ballroom’s floor-to-ceiling windows or take a step outside on the 6th floor balcony, there is no better place to view the fireworks over the Mighty Mississippi!

$75 per person which includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, desserts, two drink tickets, live entertainment and balcony access to view the fireworks. Must be 21 years of age or older.
Ticket sales close at noon on Sunday, July 1.
